About Us

Sixteen years ago Dave and Trudy Marean of Clovis, placed a dummy dressed in overalls on their porch to scare the Halloween trick-or-treaters in their neighborhood. After a night of squeals of fright by children and parents alike, a family tradition was born. With the help of family and friends, the Halloween haunt steadily grew to include the porch, the front yard, the driveway and the side yard!

Through the years the Marean's five children grew up, married and had children of their own, increasing the size of the family and the Halloween tradition. The porch "haunt" had grown to a full scale haunted house with ghosts, ghouls and of course, the ever popular chainsaw room. The Marean family haunted house drew children from all over town, eager to see the new frights that came every year. The highest attendance was over 800 satisfied victims, all sent home with candy as a reward for their bravery. The haunted house was free for everyone. The haunted house drew the attention of local newspapers and was covered by local television stations.

After Dave and Trudy retired three years ago, the next generation (friends of the family) decided to continue the tradition. The Halloween haunted house is a way for family and friends to get together to provide a free haunted house for their neighborhood and to entertain people with thrills, chills and Halloween tales to pass on.

This Halloween we offer Blood Skull Castle, with over 2000 square feet of dark twists and turns, live web streaming, a website with pictures of visitors and a special prize for the 1000th victim! We are looking forward to having another entertaining Halloween with family, friends and neighbors!
